Jellyfish

Our little Jellyfish class is made up of 3 – 4 year olds. Our days are based on learning through play.

We have had so much fun learning about Ourselves, Road Safety, Healthy Eating, Doctors and Hospitals, Books and many other exciting and relevant themes.

Through a combination of organised and free play, both in the classroom and outside, our Jellyfish are provided with the opportunity to grow and learn in a safe, nurturing environment.

We have a maximum of 12 children in this young group.

Grade 0

Ages 4 – 5: Penguins and Seeperdjies

Our fully qualified teachers are trained to offer full perceptual training, and gross and fine motor programmes. Our flexible play-based and child-centred programme offers a varied blend of physical, cognitive, emotional, social and creative areas for the holistic development of the child.

We believe that a child learns best through play. We constantly try to strike a balance between teacher-assisted activities and free play.

Maximum class size: 20

Grade R

Ages 5 – 6: Whales and Dolfyne

Our Grade R learners are guided in diverse daily activities based on the CAPS Curriculum.

We try to strike a balance between teacher-led activities and self-discovery.

Our main goal is to prepare every individual learner socially, emotionally and academically in order for them to be ready for more formal learning in Primary School.

Grade R classes have a maximum of 24 children per class.

Each class has a qualified foundation phase teacher and an assistant.

When the opportunity arises, we have a bilingual class with fewer children.
